Alyssa-Rae Zonarich, DC
Dr. Alyssa specializes in prenatal, postpartum and pediatric care. She is also a doula, childbirth educator, and prenatal and postpartum group fitness instructor. As a mother of three beautiful children, she knows how important chiropractic care is for mothers and babies. She is certified in both Webster and Bagnell, which are chiropractic techniques used to address breech presentation in pregnancy.
In addition to conventional chiropractic techniques, Dr. Alyssa utilizes KST and FBA. KST (Koren Specific Technique) is a specific chiropractic technique that is gentle and very effective, without the traditional “popping” and “twisting.” She was one of the first chiropractors to bring KST to Kansas City, and she now mentors other doctors and assists in teaching KST around the country. FBA (Functional Bio-Analysis) combines biochemistry and energetic medicine to detect and correct nutritional deficiencies.
Dr. Alyssa co-founded First Choice Chiropractic with her husband, Dr. Kyle, in 2005.
Kyle R. Younger, DC, CCSP
As a Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician, Dr. Kyle is trained in the latest advancements in care for athletes, including chiropractic adjustments. rehabilitation, strength and conditioning, diverse taping techniques (including kinesiotaping), and Low Level Light Therapy (LLLT/Cold Laser).
While Dr. Kyle enjoys working with athletes of all ages and skill levels, his training and talent have made him the office specialist for extremity injuries. He is happy to help just about anyone with issues of the shoulder, elbow, wrist, hip, knee, or ankle. He has a passion for teaching simple and effective exercises and stretches to promote healing and prevent future injuries.
Dr. Kyle co-founded First Choice Chiropractic with his wife, Dr. Alyssa, in 2005.
Jessica Tallman, DC
Dr. Jessica incorporates chiropractic adjustments, soft tissue work, and rehabilitative exercises into a personalized treatment plan for each individual patient. To best meet the needs of those seeking care, she uses a blend of adjusting techniques including Diversified, Sacral Occiputal Technique (SOT), Koren Specific Technique (KST)and Gua Sha. KST is a specific chiropractic technique that is gentle and very effective, without the traditional “popping” and “twisting.” Gua Sha is deep tissue muscle work done with tools. Dr. Jessica is certified in Webster, a chiropractic technique focused on helping women through their pregnancies, and is currently working toward her certification in pediatrics from the International Chiropractic Pediatrics Association (ICPA).
Dr. Jessica is the mother of three adorable little girls and has a special interest in working with pregnant women and children. As a former college track and field athlete, Jessica also enjoys working with sports enthusiasts to help maximize health and optimize performance. From newborns to geriatrics, Dr. Jessica’s goal is to empower each patient to reach full wellness potential.
Dr. Jessica is happily married to Jamie Tallman and they have three daughters: Josie, Julia, and Janna. She joined First Choice Chiropractic in 2013.
Meghan Monsen, DC
Dr. Meghan uses a variety of techniques but mostly light force and based upon the tone and tension that presents in the body. Adjustments are specific, very gentle and targeted to the brain and nervous system to help them function at their highest potential. These adjustments help the brain properly integrate and process information from our daily lives.
Her techniques include, Torque Release Technique (TRT), Koren Specific Technique (KST), MC2, and Diversified. Dr. Meghan is pursuing training through the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association, as well as certification in Webster Technique. She loves working with the kids and adults in our connect neurosensory program.
Abigail Stanley, DC
Dr. Abby specializes in whole-family wellness. Her passion is helping people live quality lives by achieving wellness and optimum health. To better serve her patients, Dr. Abby uses a blend of techniques, including Diversified, Cox Flexion Distraction, Koren Specific Technique (KST), Activator, and has training in soft tissue and rehabilitation techniques.
She is certified in Webster, a chiropractic technique focused on helping women throughout their pregnancies, and in McKenzie Part A and Part B. She trained under Kristy Colley in protocols, assessment, and treatment of conditions related to tethered oral tissue (ankyloglossia), including tongue/lip/buccal ties.
Dr. Abby earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Missouri and continued her education at Cleveland University-Kansas City. She is the youngest of 5 siblings, so she knows the importance of a healthy family and how chiropractic care can benefit people of all ages, from babies to grandparents.
Dr. Abby looks forward to helping families in the Greater Kansas City area live their best and healthiest lives.
Janell Huff, Neurofunctional Program Assistant
Janell works closely with Dr. Alyssa as a Connect Program Assistant. Janell sees our young chiropractic patients where she supports children in incorporating their primitive reflexes, sensory systems, and teach exercises that develop fine and gross skills.
Janell earned her degree in Early Childhood Education at Missouri State University, with certification in Special Education. She has experience with occupational therapy in clinical and classroom settings. She began receiving chiropractic care at age 13 to help treat Juvenile RA. As a result, she was able to stop all medication and went into remission! She is the mother to one daughter and two sons and Janell continues to incorporate chiropractic care into her family’s health regimen.
Teighlor Nordstrom, Neurofunctional Program Assistant
Teighlor is our QRI/ NFB assistant in our office. The QRI helps with integrating reflexes in children and adults. The QRI laser helps develop the neurological connections for all condition movement; the primary use of which is helping our patients integrate their primitive reflexes. NFB is helpful with balancing the brain waves. For anxiety, depression, ADHD, etc.
Teighlor is currently going to school at Fort Hays State University, she is working towards her degree in child development and hopes to pursue a career working with kids in the health care profession. Teighlor is the new mom to a tortie kitten named Callie. In her free time she enjoys going to concerts and being with her family.
